It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas around Channel 2 and the rest of our community.
(some of our reporters stopped to pose in front of our tree after leaving an important meeting)
2 on the Beat has heard from lots of friends that In these tough economic times, the companies they work for are downscaling or cancelling plans for a Holiday Party.
What about your place of business?
Certainly, companies DON’T owe their employees a holiday party, but it is nice to know that the Boss is willing to invest in some Holiday Cheer.
It’s good for morale and helps unite the Team.
At KPRC Local Two, we are having a holiday party billed as “A Casino Night and Decadent Desserts.” The night will include drawing for door prizes.
It’s being held on a Saturday night at the station, instead of a restaurant or a country club. That’s one way to save money.
What about your office?
Potluck? Catered? Fancy? Casual?
2 on the Beat would like to know how, or if, your company plans to celebrate the Holiday Season during these tough economic times.

I THINK CHRISTMAS PARTIES ARE THE LAST THING A LOT OF COMPANIES ARE THINKING ABOUT RIGHT NOW. I’M NOT SURE IF WE’RE HAVING A PARTY AT FOX THIS YEAR BUT YOU NEVER KNOW. I HOPING THE ECONOMY DOES AN ABOUT FACE SO I CAN KEEP MY JOB…
In this economy, the Christmas/Holiday gift you get from your company this year is being able to keep your job.
