Hope and Heartache – Susana De Jesus

It’s a simple necklace with a symbolic meaning, and it’s giving comfort to the family and friends of Susana De Jesus, the Pearland woman who was kidnapped and murdered.

Sandy Stafford and Dawn Davis are just two of a countless number of people trying to cope with the tragic ending in the desperate search for Susana.

For weeks Sandy has been wearing a necklace and cross with the word “PUSH” on it.

It stands for Pray Until Something Happens.

She had just bought a similar necklace for Susana’s sister  Gilly, and  gave it to her only days before Susana’s body was discovered.

On Wednesday Sandy told me that Gilly did not   have a chance to wear her necklace before learning that her sister’s body was found, but she hopes that it gives her peace

“It was to bring Susana home, and she’s home,” said Stafford.
