A group of Latino community leaders has endorsed Gene Locke for Mayor of Houston.
On Tuesday elected officials, along with civic and business leaders attended the press conference at Doneraki’s Restaurant to voice their support.
State Senator Mario Gallegos was quoted in a campaign news release as saying, “Gene Locke has always been there for our community. He has always fought for what is right, as a civil rights activist, city attorney and as a civic leader. He will be a great Mayor for our community and for all of Houston.
The group included State Representative Carol Alvarado, Precinct 6 Constable Victor Trevino and HISD Board member Diana Davilos.
