METRO, Rep. Thibaut Break Ground on New Bus Shelter

For the folks who live in West Houston and depend on Metro to get to work or school everday, having a bus shelter to stand underneath during hot or rainy weather is a really important.  

Earlier this week, State Represenative Kristi Thibaut (D-133) joined with officials from METRO to break ground on a new shelter in her district.

Rep. Thibaut had the opportunity to inspect the  new shelter  at the corner of  Meadowglen  Lane and Wilcrest Drive.  METRO is building 8 new shelters in the area.

“For those of us who drive cars, a shelter from the elements while waiting for the bus might seem like a small thing, Rep. Thibaut said. “For those who ride public transportation every day, a shelter can make a real difference.”
