Too Many Debates For The Mayoral Candidates?

The campaign managers for Peter Brown, Gene Locke and Annise Parker have sent a letter to the Northwest management District decline an invitation to participate in the group’s event.

I spoke with one campaign spokesperson who defended the decision to limit the number of joint appearances.
That person described the number of debates as “being out of control,” leaving the candidates very little time to fundraise or attend other important campaign events.

The candidates will instead focus on debates that are guaranteed to draw a large audience, including planned several televised debates.
