Does This Houston Press Cover Offend You?

The Houston Press, an alternative newspaper, has a way of catching the reader’s attention with offensive or interesting headlines.

In this case, the cover of the weekly newspaper boils down the voter’s choice for mayor.  which is between a black guy – Gene Locke, a rich white guy – Peter Brown, a lesbian –  Annise Parker, and a Hispanic Republican – Roy Morales.

  1. It is low class, but then again, it is the Houston Press. Look at the advertisements in the back and it gives you an understanding of who they are.

    • Reading your comment gives me an understanding of who you are.

  2. Nah, I think it’s pretty funny.

  3. Oh….they did forget one: Poor Mexican dude. Of course the Press would probably in keeping with their low class call him a Poor Illegal Alien or something like that.

  4. Tasteless cover.

  5. you can get good taste anywhere.
John, why you dogging on the Press like that? You of all people know they do good work.

  6. It’s called satire.

And it’s in keeping with the kind of funky hijinx commonly brought to you by the Houston Press.

The story on which the cover is based also includes far more insight and information on the Houston mayor’s race than your TV station has bothered to report to its viewers, just in my opinion of course.
