Mayor Parker Travels to NYC to Boost Houston Tourism

Ok, I’m a little bummed that local members of the media were not invited to travel with Mayor Annise Parker on her trip to New York City.

Cool weather.  Broadway.  Times Square.  Fashion Week.

Those are the things a Houston based reporter dreams  about while suffering through a hot and humid September, covering bank robberies, METRO and the red light camera controversy.

Anyway, the Mayor  travelled to NYC to promote tourism and the economy.

Below she is pictured with Greater Houston Partnership President and CEO Jeff Moseley, while they paid a visit to NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

Mayor Parker is on an East Coast media tour and has met with reporters from media outlets including the New York Times, Dow Jones/Wall Street Journal, BusinessWeek, The Economist and Bloomberg TV.
