About 2011 Texas Inaugural
The events surrounding the ceremony are scaled back from prior years including a family-friendly BBQ rather than a parade, and for the evening celebration cocktail attire is recommended rather than formal. Through ticket sales and private funding, 2011 Texas Inaugural celebrations operate at no state expense. The Inaugural Committee is an entity formed by statute that convenes with the election of the Governor and Lieutenant Governor to make arrangements for conducting ceremonies and events to observe the inauguration.
