Only days after the spectacular finish of the World Cup, Mayor Annise Parker and the President of the Houston Dynamo announced new details about the upcoming MLS All-Star game.
The game will be played on July 28 at Reliant Stadium and feature the Manchester United which means, “the world will be watching”, said Mayor Parker

Houston Dynamo President Chris Canetti. announced there will be soccer related activities for the public to enjoy, including a match at Discovery Green, a 5k fun run and private parties. ” It’s going to be a wonderful experience for everybody. Coming off of the excitement of the World Cup, fans will be able to see what the future of soccer is, not only in America, but here in Houston,” said Cannetti.
Cannetti also presented Mayor Parker with an official MLS All-Star game souvenir scarf.
The mayor jokingly asked if vuvuzelas, (those stadium horns that were so annoyingly loud and popular during the World Cup) would be allowed at Reliant during the MLS All-Star game.
