2010 Census Expo honors Jack Yates High School National Championship Basketball Team April 6, 2010

The Mayor’s 2010 Census Houston Counts Committee along with the National Leadership Conference on Civil Rights hosted a 2010 Census Expo at the HEB-Scott St location to provide assistance to anyone in completing the census forms. Honoring the Jack Yates High School Championship Basketball Team along with CNN Analyst Roland Martin it was the place to be. As the number one team in the nation autographed census posters the community waited hours to get and autograph and get census assistance.  Joining the team as they were honored was Houston’s Count Representative and Gospel Music Advocate Carl Davis, Councilmember Wanda Adams, HISD Trustee Paula Harris, Judson Robinson III and Yates Principal Ronald Mumphrey and Coach Greg Wise.
