Open and they will come. In droves. To cast their ballots.
Day two of early voting in Harris County shattered another record.
Compared to the first two days of early voting in the 2004 presidential election, more people showed up to cast their ballots this year.
According to the Harris County Clerk’s office the 2008 two day total is: 82,650,
Compared to 2007 when 42,230 people cast their votes on the first two days.
That’s a 94% increase. Wow!
Which political party and candidates does this benefit?
We’ll have to wait until election day, November 4th, to know for sure.
In the meantime, it’s great to see so many people taking their vote seriously.
