Houston on the Road to Recovery September 16, 2008

 2 on the Beat received the following alert from the Harris County Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Operations.

Downtown Houston Returning to Normal Operations

Crews have been working to clear roads through the downtown Houston area, and most streets

are passable now. A few streets are blocked because of glass and debris, but routes are

cleared around them.

Businesses are re-opening gradually and the situation is returning to normal.
