Senator Ellis to Ride Across Texas
to Benefit the Rise Schools
Greetings!
Tomorrow I am embarking on the Rise Across Texas Challenge, an 805 mile charity bike ride across Texas to benefit the Rise Schools. Starting in Orange and ending in Presidio, Texas, the ride will last two weeks. Although I am an avid rider, I must confess that this will be the longest ride I have ever undertaken.
Only a very worthy cause could drive me to accept such a challenge, and the Rise Schools are just that. The mission of the Rise Schools is to provide the highest quality early childhood/preschool education and services to children with special needs (having a developmental disability or delay) and their typically developing peers in order to fully prepare them for their next learning environment and long term success. Rise Schools are not-for-profit, serving children ages 6 months to 6 years. Currently, there are five Rise Schools in Texas: Austin, Corpus Christi, Dallas, and Houston.
If you would like more information about the ride and this very worthy cause, please visit www.riseacrosstexas.org. I hope you will consider supporting the Rise Schools today.
Sincerely,

Rodney Ellis |
