Is Cap And Trade A Job Killer In Texas?
September 1, 2009

U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison will be in Houston today, Tuesday, September 1, 2009; to talk with a local group of workers about Cap and Trade.

If  you’re wondering where Senator Hutchison stands on the issue, she  recently called  it “A Job Killer For Texas”

The senator  will visit The Hurt Company, a third generation small business that distributes petroleum goods and services across the county.

Her office says  Senator Hutchison will discuss, “the broad impact that proposed Cap and Trade legislation would have on The Hurt Company, the energy industry, and the Texas Economy. ”

While announcing her  plans to run for  Governor of  Texas last month,  Senator Hutchison said she will resign her seat in the fall to challenge Governor Rick Perry in the 2010 GOP Primary.

In the meantime, she is staying in the senate to fight – and vote – against legislation she opposes, including CAP and Trade, and Health Care Reform.
