Senator Hutchison today announced that she is forming an exploratory committee to begin the process of organizing a campaign for Governor of Texas.
By transferring one million dollars from her federal campaign account, the Senator can hire people, order phone service and do all the other things necessary to launch a viable campaign.
Senator Hutchison says she is taking this step because, ‘There’s too much bitterness, too much anger, too little trust, too little consensus and too much infighting, and the tone comes from the top. Texans are looking for leadership and results.”
Governor Perry says he plans to seek re-election.
